Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Camino website at camino.to and the Camino application under camino.to/app (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Camino, LLC ("Camino," "we," "our"), a Texas limited liability company.

By creating an account, making a purchase, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are able to enter into a binding agreement.

Camino may limit enrollment, pause new sign-ups, or close enrollment at our discretion, including when a program reaches capacity.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@camino.to if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may not:

• Create accounts on behalf of others.
• Use another person's account without their explicit permission.
• Provide false information when creating your account.
• Share your account access with others.

Signing out. When you sign out, Camino ends your signed-in sessions on all of your devices, not just the one you are using. Changing your password does the same. You will need to sign in again on each device.

3. Programs, Pricing, and Payment

All prices are in U.S. dollars. Every purchase is a one-time payment. Camino does not sell subscriptions and does not charge recurring fees.

3.1 Programs

• Camino Lumen™ — a 13-reflection, self-paced, AI-guided reflection program. $97 one-time.
• Lexica™ — a self-paced, 21-reflection program. $197 one-time. Lexica requires completion of Camino Lumen™. You may buy Lexica before you finish Lumen through the package described in Section 3.2, but you cannot enter Lexica content until Camino Lumen™ is complete.

3.2 The package

You may buy Camino Lumen™ and Lexica™ together in a single checkout for $294 ($97 + $197, no discount). When you buy the package:

• Both programs are charged at full price in one Stripe transaction.
• Camino Lumen™ becomes available as soon as payment is confirmed.
• Lexica™ stays locked until you complete Camino Lumen™, then unlocks automatically.

3.3 Coaching sessions (optional add-on)

You may buy one or more optional 45-minute coaching sessions with a Camino Coach. Each coaching session is $197 and is purchased as a coaching credit. You can add coaching credits when you buy a program or the package, and if you already have access to a program you can buy additional credits for it later through the same checkout. Each checkout allows up to 20 credits per program. Coaching is never required to complete Camino Lumen™ or Lexica™.

For Lexica™ participants, we recommend three coaching sessions across the 21-reflection arc. This is a recommendation, not a requirement. For Camino Lumen™ participants, coaching is available on demand with no recommended count.

All Camino Coaches are licensed providers; coaching itself is not a separate regulated credential. Coaching is available only to participants located in a state where Camino currently offers coaching. If scheduling is not available for your location, the booking screen will tell you, and you can contact support@camino.to about the unused credit under Section 3.6.

3.4 Booking, rescheduling, and cancellation

You book coaching sessions inside the Camino app by choosing an open time that a Camino Coach has published. Sessions must be booked at least 24 hours in advance. Your confirmation includes the date, time, and the link or details for joining the session.

• Rescheduling or canceling more than 24 hours before the start time: you can do this yourself in the app. When you cancel, your coaching credit is restored so you can book another time.
• Within 24 hours of the start time: the app will not let you reschedule or cancel. Contact your Camino Coach or support@camino.to. Any change inside this window is at Camino's discretion.
• No-shows: if you do not attend a scheduled session and did not cancel in time, the matching coaching credit may be used up, unless applicable law requires otherwise or Camino grants an exception.
• If Camino or your Camino Coach cancels or reschedules, Camino will restore the matching credit, offer a new time, or refund that line item, as appropriate.

Any cancellation outcome affects only the matching coaching credit. Your program access and other coaching credits are not affected.

3.5 Program codes

Camino may issue program codes that grant access to a program or coaching without payment through checkout. A code may be limited to a specific program, a number of uses, or an expiration date. Codes have no cash value, cannot be resold or exchanged for money, and are not eligible for a refund. Camino may decline or revoke a code that was obtained or used in violation of these Terms.

3.6 Payment, final sale, and refunds

All payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe Checkout. Camino does not store your card number, bank information, or other payment credentials. Stripe's terms and privacy policy apply to your payment information. Stripe is our system of record for payments, receipts, taxes, refunds, and disputes.

All sales are final once access is granted. Camino does not offer a satisfaction window or trial period for Camino Lumen™, Lexica™, the package, or coaching credits. By completing checkout, you confirm that you reviewed the program description and price.

A refund or correction may be available when required by law, a duplicate charge, an erroneous charge, a technical failure that prevents access, or a discretionary operator exception. Contact support@camino.to so Camino can verify the request and review the payment record. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method through Stripe.

For a package or any checkout with more than one item, a refund, reversal, failed payment, or dispute affects only the matching line item, program access, or unused coaching credit. It does not delete your account, other program access, program records, or reflective content.

3.7 Failed payments

Access is granted only after payment succeeds and Stripe confirms it to Camino. If a payment fails, the affected item stays unpaid and is not granted. Anything you already have access to, and your program content, is not affected.

3.8 Text message reminders (when available)

Camino plans to offer optional text message reminders for coaching sessions. This program is not yet active, and Camino does not currently send text messages. When it becomes available, the following terms apply:

Program name: Camino appointment reminders. Texts are sent only to participants who separately opt in on their Camino profile, and cover coaching booking confirmations, reschedule and cancellation notices, and reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before a session. Message frequency varies; you may receive a one-time confirmation when you opt in and additional texts when you book, move, or cancel a coaching session. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel; reply HELP for help. For support, email support@camino.to. Consent to texts is optional and is not required to purchase or use Camino programs or coaching. The Camino Privacy Policy (https://camino.to/privacy) and these Terms apply to the text message program.

4. Use of the Platform

You agree to use the Platform only for its intended purpose: personal reflection and self-development through Camino Lumen™, Lexica™, and optional coaching.

You agree not to:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access, tamper with, or disrupt the Platform's systems or infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or redistribute any part of the Platform's software, prompts, conversation designs, or assessment instruments.
• Provide false information or share your account access with others.
• Submit content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes on the rights of others.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse a Camino Coach or Camino staff.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Not Therapy, Medical Care, or Crisis Care

Camino Lumen™ and Lexica™ are structured personal-development programs delivered through AI-guided reflection. They are not therapy, counseling, psychiatric treatment, medical care, or any other licensed clinical service, and nothing on the Platform is medical or mental-health advice. The AI-guided conversations, your Personal Insight Snapshot™, your Close Document, and your assessment scores are reflective tools. They are not clinical assessments, diagnoses, or treatment plans.

Coaching is not therapy. Sessions with a Camino Coach are educational and developmental conversations, not licensed clinical care, even though Camino Coaches are licensed providers. Buying or attending coaching does not create a clinician-patient or therapist-client relationship between you and a Camino Coach or Camino.

Walter Calvo, LCSW, DBA, is the Founder and Clinical Director of Camino. The Clinical Director, and any clinical reviewer Camino assigns, provides oversight of the Platform:

• Reviewing AI behavioral specifications and safety-boundary logic.
• Setting the standards that Camino Coaches follow.
• Reviewing program-safety records asynchronously for oversight and documentation. Camino does not promise real-time monitoring, same-day review, emergency intervention, guaranteed contact, or that Camino will keep you safe.
• Reading reflection transcripts, including your turns and the AI companion's turns, to check that AI responses stay within designed limits. This is AI oversight, not diagnosis, treatment, medical coding, or billing.

Oversight is not treatment. Participation in Camino does not create a clinician-patient relationship with the Clinical Director, any clinical reviewer, or Camino.

If you are in crisis, do not wait for Camino. If you are having thoughts of harming yourself or someone else, are in danger, or need urgent medical help, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. In the United States, you can call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. More resources are at camino.to/crisis. Camino does not provide crisis counseling or emergency response.

6. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you provide through the Platform, including your reflection responses, conversation content, and journal entries.

By using the Platform, you grant Camino a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Process your content to deliver the program, including through the AI infrastructure providers disclosed in our Privacy Policy.
• Generate your Personal Insight Snapshot™ (Camino Lumen™) and your Close Document (Lexica™).
• Maintain memory records that provide continuity across your reflections.
• Apply Camino Pacing System calibration and keep the record of your reflections during Lexica™.
• Maintain backups for disaster recovery.

This license does not permit Camino to:

• Sell your content.
• Use your content for advertising.
• Share your content with third parties for their own purposes.
• Use your content for a research corpus, research queries, research analysis, research export, or research publication while the hold in Section 7 remains active.

This license continues only for program delivery, security, disaster recovery, and the retention obligations described in the Privacy Policy. Closing your account or stopping use does not trigger automatic deletion; deletion requests follow the manual, logged review process described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Research Activity Is Inactive

Research activation remains on HOLD. Camino does not currently offer research enrollment, accept research authorization, create a research corpus, run research queries or analyses, export research data, publish research findings, activate the Camino Transformation Index, or expand reassessment for research purposes.

Program access is never conditioned on research participation. Before any research activity could begin, Camino would need an approved protocol, a separate participant authorization, and the required clinical, legal, and privacy review.

8. Intellectual Property

The Platform, its content, design, software, AI prompts, conversation designs, assessment instruments, and all associated materials are the property of Camino, LLC.

• Complete Coherence™
• Grounded Generosity™
• Camino Lumen™
• Lexica™
• Coherence Profile™
• Beyond Coaching™

The Three-Dimensional Coherence Self-Assessment (TDCSA), the Camino Transformation Index (CTI), the Personal Insight Snapshot™ generation methodology, the Close Document specification, and the Camino Pacing System process are proprietary methodologies of Camino.

Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable license to use the program for your own reflection. Nothing in these Terms grants you a license to use our trademarks, reproduce our proprietary materials, or develop derivative works based on our methodologies.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
• AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.
• The Platform or coaching will achieve any specific outcome for you.
• The Platform will be available without scheduled maintenance, system updates, or unforeseen outages.

To the maximum extent permitted by Texas law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Camino and its officers, employees, contractors, Camino Coaches, and clinical reviewers (including the Clinical Director) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or coaching, including lost profits, lost data, lost opportunities, or emotional or psychological impact, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Camino in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as gross negligence, willful misconduct, or statutory rights that cannot be waived).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Camino, LLC, its officers, employees, contractors, and agents from any claim, loss, liability, damages, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms.
• Your misuse of the Platform.
• Your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Platform, participants, or Camino Coaches. Sections 6 through 15 continue to apply after your access ends.

13. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify active participants by email or in the app. Continued use of the Platform after that notice means you accept the updated Terms.

If you do not agree to a change, your remedy is to stop using the Platform. The data-retention provisions in our Privacy Policy continue to apply to your data after you stop.

15. Severability and Entire Agreement

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect, and the unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Camino about your use of the Platform and replace any prior agreements or understandings on that subject.
