The designer of the approach
Walter shaped the Camino approach and the safety guardrails that bound the platform. Participant-facing program materials, prompts, conversation designs, and output templates are reviewed before they reach participants.
About
Walter is Co-Founder and Clinical Director of Camino Institute. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Doctor of Business Administration. Thirty years of clinical practice, military leadership, and graduate education. Twenty years in uniform.

Walter shaped the Camino approach and the safety guardrails that bound the platform. Participant-facing program materials, prompts, conversation designs, and output templates are reviewed before they reach participants.
He reviews safety events routed by the platform and records dispositions. He reviews recurring quality patterns and adjusts program guardrails based on what he sees. He sets the standards for Camino Coaches, all of whom are licensed providers, who deliver add-on sessions during Lumen or Lexica. Walter's role is program and safety review, not direct care. Camino Coach sessions are educational and transformation-oriented engagements. Participation does not create a care relationship between you and Walter, a Camino Coach, or Camino Institute.
The Camino platform handles sensitive personal-development content. Walter Calvo reviews safety guardrails and participant-facing program materials before release so the AI operates inside clear boundaries. Camino does not provide clinical or emergency response services. If you are experiencing acute risk or need immediate support, use emergency services or, in the United States, call or text 988.
