Walter Calvo

The designer of the method

Walter is the designer of The CAMINO Method™ and the architect of every clinical surface of the Camino platform. Every AI behavioral specification, every clinical safety rule, every prompt template, every conversation design, and every output template — Personal Insight Snapshot, Close Document, re-entry messages — is reviewed and approved by Walter before reaching participants.

Walter's role in the platform

He reviews real-time clinical safety flags (Layer 1 events) and records dispositions same-day. He reviews weekly anomalous-pattern flags (Layer 2) and adjusts AI behavior based on what he sees. He delivers coaching sessions to participants who purchase them as add-ons during Lumen or Lexica. Walter's role is clinical oversight and coaching, not clinical treatment. Camino is not a therapy service, and participation does not create a clinician-patient relationship between you and Walter or Camino Institute.

Public clinical oversight statement

The Camino platform handles sensitive personal-development content. Walter Calvo provides oversight to ensure the AI operates safely and ethically within the bounds of his professional duty of care for the pilot population. The AI does not exercise clinical judgment; Walter does, and only Walter. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a licensed mental health professional or a crisis service. In the United States, you can call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline). Camino's safety mechanisms are a backup; they are not a substitute.
