Safety Boundaries

A plain-language summary of Camino's boundaries so participants do not rely on the platform for crisis care, clinical treatment, or emergency monitoring.

What Camino is and is not

  • Camino is a structured reflection and education platform.
  • Camino is not therapy, diagnosis, clinical treatment, crisis care, emergency response, suicide prevention, or real-time monitoring.
  • Camino does not promise that Walter Calvo, a Camino Coach, or any Camino representative will monitor your reflections in real time, intervene in an emergency, contact you in time, or keep you safe.
  • Automated safety-boundary checks may pause an in-app reflection and show outward crisis resources, but that is not emergency response or clinical care.
  • Layer 1 program-safety records may be reviewed asynchronously for program oversight and documentation, not as a promise of same-day review or intervention.

If you are in immediate danger

Do not wait for Camino or any platform response. Call local emergency services now. In the United States, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. If you are experiencing suicidal thoughts, self-harm urges, or emotional crisis in the United States, call or text 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
